Project Description
It was designed by Konstantinos Krokos and inaugurated in 1994. It is an awarded work of industrial and exhibitional design. The museum contains sculptures, frescos, coins, paintings, religious paintings, inscriptions and daily life materials from the Byzantine era. It consists of exhibition halls for permanent and seasonal exhibitions, amphitheater, restoration labs and storage rooms.
